Many people were involved in the construction of the popular family attraction Pirates in Batavia. We show excerpts from interviews with some of those involved, such as Ulrich Damrau, who worked as a set designer. In an interview, he explains how he came up with the design for the ride. Franz Mack talks about a few funny events and a particular faux pas during the construction. Roland Mack fondly remembers the time and the collaboration with Ulrich Damrau. At the opening, Dr. Wolfgang Schäuble gave a speech expressing his confidence in the success of Europa-Park.
