Happy moments bring people together. Whether this is simply coincidence, or destiny, some events change things for the better. Ulrich Damraus' path led to Europa-Park, where he became responsible for the design of the themed worlds and helped to make the buildings and areas as authentic as possible. Ulrich speaks about the collaboration with Franz Mack, the enthusiasm for the park and his gratitude for the cooperation and friendship with Roland Mack. He details how he originally came up with the ideas for his designs and drawings, as well as what inspired him. Roland and Franz speak on how Ulrich Damrau was hired, how the collaboration worked and where conflicts arose. Franz remembers with amusement how he fell into a hole on the pirate building site in Batavia and broke his leg; and how a few weeks later Ulrich fell into the same hole and injured himself too. Ulrich Damrau's motto in life is that of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe: "A new day leads to new shores."
